This year’s metro elections will decide our city’s future. We’re choosing a new Mayor, a majority of new councilmembers, and of course, a new vice mayor. Because this election is so vital, we’re calling on everyone to chip in and help in any way they can. Here are a few ways that you can help support Angie Henderson for Vice Mayor.
1. TEXT TEN FRIENDS
Sounds simple enough right? Well, you may be aware of this election, but there’s a good chance your friends may not be aware of who you support, or that there’s an opportunity to vote! (Early Voting lasts until Saturday, July 29. Election Day is August 3.)
Only 20% of all registered voters in Davidson County are likely to vote in this election. That’s less than half of the people who would vote in a November election. Help us spread the word!
Tell your friends about Angie. Tell everyone you know that lives in Davidson County! Tell them why you believe in her and are voting for her. If you can’t think of what to say, here’s a sample text:
Hi! Just sending a quick text to friends & family to remind you that Early Voting is happening now through Saturday. Also, I’m supporting my (smart, kind, creative, dedicated, experienced) friend Angie Henderson for vice mayor and hope you do too!🔥🎉🥰
2. SEND OUR LANDING PAGE
If you’re familiar with a LinkTree or LinkinBio, we have a curated landing page with our campaign video, links to social media, and links to some informative articles all in one central location. If someone you know would like to learn more about Angie, send them this link via text or email.
3. SEND TEXTS OR VOLUNTEER FOR ANGIE
Outside of your personal contacts, we have lists of voters that you can a short message about voting and Angie’s campaign for Vice Mayor. It’s pretty easy, you just need a little free time and your cell phone!

5. FOLLOW ANGIE ON SOCIAL
Like, comment, share, & retweet. We’re trying to increase engagement and elevate Angie’s name recognition, which is essential b/c she is running against an incumbent.
Other ideas: When you go to vote for Angie, post a selfie with your “I Voted” sticker to Insta stories, Twitter, or Facebook post using the #angieforvicemayor hashtag.
Direct message your friends on Instagram our “Learn About Vice Mayoral Candidate Angie Henderson” post. Share/engage with any and all posts you like, encouraging your friends/followers to Vote for Angie!
